Hello parents!
Are you looking for a fun, safe, and productive environment for your kids on their upcoming days off from school? Join the Hwa Rang Do School Release Day Camps! The kids will get 2 specialized martial art training workshops in per day, and this fall we will be focusing on boosting the sparring and grappling skills. See the dates for which topic will be covered. Besides all the training, there will also be games, crafts, and a day of overall fun with other kids and our staff.
Our grappling camps will cover takedowns, pins, and positions, as well as submissions and combinations of moves that are sure to improve anyone’s grappling game, from beginners to our more advanced students.
Our sparring camps will cover basic hand striking and kicks, as well as footwork, combinations and strategy. These camps are sure to make you more skilled and confident when you armor up and step into the sparring ring!
The MEA Camp Days we be Halloween themed, with a costume contest, our yearly halloween maze, and other spooky activities!

REMINDER NOTE: For Annunciation and Richfield schools that may HAVE school on any of the MPLS school release days, those Afterschool kids will still be picked up and participate in the 2nd half of the day.
Highlights & Details:
- Release day programming runs from 9am – 5pm (drop off available at 8:30am late pickup available until 5:30pm).
- The general public is welcome! For any K-8th grade kids not already a part of the HRD Academy after school program or our regular martial art classes you are welcome to join camps and will participate in the all programming and martial art training offered! So, don’t worry if you have never trained before, as everyone is welcome and get a taste of what all the excitement is about! The training on these days will be a seminar workshop type style instead of the daily routine and will be packed with a bunch of fun and knowledge!
- Snacks ARE provided
- Lunches are NOT provided – PLEASE PACK A LUNCH FOR YOUR CHILD!
- Supplies & Crafts ARE provided
- Bring Your Uniform & Belt if already a martial art student (we will have some to lend out for public people without, or you are welcome to purchase your own for $45)
